A question for lucid dreamers, or if anyone knows i need help. I entered into a lucid dream, and the first thing I did was looking for Sheen (tulpa) and ask the people there about him. Everyone in the dream doesn't know who he is, and I started describing him to them, but no one knows, and I noticed that all those I ask are strangers i don't know any of them. And when I try to imagine him behind a door or in a certain room, I still can't find him. Any advices, please?(sorry for my English)
Tewi: "Expecting to see them around the corner" is a huge one everyone recommends, for sure. But this article recommends holding off on actually checking around the corner for a few moments, just staying and sort of charging that expectation, really believing they're right there waiting for you for a bit. There are also other really good techniques listed - #2 sounds potentially extremely potent and is something we haven't thought of in nearly 10 years.

Since you probably already understand that belief and expectation are what cause things to happen in lucid dreams, not just willpower, I just recommend googling "How to make characters appear in lucid dreams" - there are quite a few different results. (Reddit results are always a good place to get random people's unique answers)(edited)

Where you do it exactly doesn't matter so much (aside from what works best for you), I just wanted to give advice on how to possibly make that technique work more consistently.

Rushing around in lucid dreams is almost always a bad idea for achieving what you want.

But yeah, for that one, try just staying there and really convincing yourself/feeling your tulpa is around the corner/behind the door/etc. for a moment. Don't be hasty about it, since it'll only happen when you've truly convinced your mind it will be the case.

I still like that article's method #2 though, of talking out loud "to your dream" and asking it to make things happen, as if your dream is sentient and listening to you.
Of course that works the same was as any other dream control technique, by believing it'll actually do something. The trick to dream control is more often than not just finding a technique that really convinces you it'll make something happen.

(A common example is people being unable to believe they can fly... Unless they hold out their arms like Superman, or pick up a rock and say "This is a magic pebble that allows me to fly", or believing that gravity has just been reduced.. or any other creative solutions to trick yourself into letting things happen.)

Your advices is so helpful. I really don't know how to thank you. You're right. I'm rushing around so fast in my dreams because I'm afraid that I will wake up or get back into my dream, that is why when I expect him behind a room or a door I go in there quickly with out giving my self time to actually belive that he is behind that door. (I take time replying so I can make sure that my English is right, so I'm sorry if it's not)
Tewi: Don't worry, even after years in the lucid dreaming community (Dreamviews), we still fell victim to that ourselves until we recognized it was a problem (because we kept losing lucidity from getting distracted, not keeping our focus)(edited)

Becoming lucid is exciting, but in order to make anything of it you have to remain focused. And as a beginner, that usually means taking things slow.
As for whether it's "weird" or not, no. Lots of people develop systems that way, we have, for one, and we're......comparatively fine all things considered.

You also don't need to fit into DID/OSDD criterea for your system to be formed from/influenced by trauma and stress.

DID/OSDD is simply a more disordered form of plurality commonly created through traumatic experiences.
if you're talking about structural dissociation, then I can understand why you'd think that, but like I mentioned, DID and OSDD are not the only types of traumagenic system.
i dont believe in structural dissociation of course but most people believe in it i guess

We chose to not use the label of "tulpa" or "tulpamancy" for our plural experience because we feel like acknowledging the stress and trauma that helped play a part in our system forming helps us feel validated.
